Elephant Butte Lake State Park is set for a million-dollar upgrade

ELEPHANT BUTTE, NM (KRQE) – One of the state’s most popular entertainment spots is getting an upgrade Elephant Butte State Park will begin work on a million-dollar project Monday.

Plans include renovations to the Ridge Road and Desert Cove comfort stations, RV dump station improvements, connections to the City of Elephant Butte’s sewer system, development of a new aquatic invasive species check station, and Ridge Road infrastructure improvements. Work will be done in phases and should be completed by August.
